Toronto Wedding Photographer

I began capturing images when I was just 7 years old, playing with my grandfather’s cameras. Over time, my passion for arts and photography grew, and in 2003 I founded Dmitri Markine Photography here in Toronto, Canada. Since then, my work has been featured in countless magazines, newspapers, books, and online publications. I’ve photographed celebrity weddings in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles; have sold images to private galleries, billion-dollar corporations and won more than 100 prestigious national and international awards. I have also taught photography seminars and coached hundreds of aspiring photographers around the Globe.
In 2009, I had the honors of being named one of the top 10 wedding photographers in Canada and over the years, my work has been featured in numerous magazines, with some even going as far as recognizing me as one of the best wedding photographers in the world.

As a photojournalist, I’ve had the incredible privilege of documenting the lives of people all over the world. From the remote tribes of Africa to the forgotten villages of South America and Asia, my camera has captured the diverse cultures and traditions that make our planet so unique.

I’m especially passionate about exploring the natural world, whether it’s diving into the depths of the ocean to capture its ethereal beauty, or participating in Eco-initiatives that help restore and preserve our planet’s fragile ecosystems. As a wildlife photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to capture some of the world’s most endangered species in their natural habitats, helping to raise awareness about the urgent need for conservation efforts.
Through my work, I aim to inspire others to see the beauty in the world around them, and to take action to protect and preserve it for future generations.
Over the years, I’ve honed my craft through tireless experimentation and a commitment to continuous learning, always seeking out new techniques and approaches to capture the beauty of the world around me, pushing the boundaries and setting new trends in the field.

Today, my work is characterized by its breathtaking beauty, its raw emotional power, and its ability to capture the essence of the human experience. Whether I am photographing a wedding, a portrait, or a stunning piece of fine art, my images evoke a sense of wonder and awe, transporting viewers to another world and leaving them with a profound sense of awe and inspiration.
One of the hallmarks of the work is an ability to use color, light and shadows to create depth and drama, infusing images with a sense of drama, adventure and intrigue that draws the viewer in and leaves them captivated.
